With the Athletic in the memory

Nine elderly people from the DomusVi Residence in Bilbao, accompanied by the director of the centre, have taken part this Tuesday in a new edition of the Reminiscence Workshops organised by the FEAFV (Spanish Federation of Veteran Footballers Associations), with the collaboration of the AEA (Association of Athletic Club Ex-Footballers) and the Athletic Club Foundation.

The day of reminiscence consisted on a guided tour of the Club Museum and a later tour of the San Mamés field. The old memories of the elderly emerge from the stimuli associated with their experiences with Athletic and serve as a stimulus to combat neurodegenerative diseases. The ex-footballers who have accompanied the elderly during the therapy have been José Ángel Iribar, president of AEA, Juan Mari Zorriqueta, president of FEAFV and, together with them, the ex-footballers Pablo Otaolea, Tzibi Juaristi, Juanjo Campa and Gontzal Suances, in his double condition of ex-player and representative of the Athletic Club Foundation.
