The Club and the Foundation were awarded yesterday in a ceremony held at the Royal Tapestry Factory, in Madrid, organized by A3e Association
Athletic Club has been awarded with the A3e Extraordinary Prize at the VII Edition of the Energy Efficiency Awards. It is an award given by A3e, the Energy Efficiency Companies Association, that also acknowledges 100% Sustainable Athletic Club Project that the Foundation develops within the environmental department. The prize ceremony of the VII Edition was held yesterday, December 4th, in Madrid andit was Jon Vázquez Eguskiza, general director of the Foundation the one that collected the prize on behalf of Athletic Club. The prize was handed by José Luis Fierro, general director of Carlo Gavazzi and representative of A3e in the North.
The new corporate vehicle fleet, 100% electric, the LEED certificate of San Mamés or the plastic waste collection at Urdaibai has also been considered by the jury. The prize values the commitment to carry out an energy efficiency management, the finances and the saving and efficiency measures implemented, as well as the design of new technologies that lead to saving and improvement of the current use of energy.
A3e, which celebrates this year its 10th anniversary, gathers over one hundred engineering, consultancy and audit companies of the energy sector; energy services companies, equipment and components manufacturers; distributors and energy marketers.
