Berenguer: "I'm really enjoying myself on the pitch"

With three goals, Álex Berenguer is standing out in Athletic Club's good start to the league and believes that they have to "keep going like this"

Álex Berenguer spoke to the media three days before playing again at San Mamés, this time against Rayo Vallecano in the sixth round of LaLiga. The red-and-white player is satisfied with what they have done so far.

"I think we are in a good line and doing things well. We have to continue like this.

"Personally, I also feel very good. I'm really enjoying myself on the pitch, I'm playing very relaxed, with a lot of desire.

"Last year I was blocked because the goals weren't coming in and this year I'm taking it without any pressure and they're coming in.

"If you get obsessed, things don't happen. The psychologist José Carrascosa has helped me a lot."

When questioned about the Madrid side, the number 7 analysed the next opponent of the Lions.

"They are a very tough team, last year they gave us a fight in both matches.

"I think it's going to be a tough and competitive game with a lot of back and forth because they have fast players.

"We have to do what we do well. Press up in attack, move the ball quickly and try to open the scoring as soon as possible."

Finally, Berenguer stressed the importance of feeling the support of the fans: "The fans are very important for us and I encourage people to keep coming to San Mamés to support us.

"They help us a lot in the games. I hope there will be a nice atmosphere."
