Athletic Club lost 1-2 against Real Madrid at San Mamés. Aduriz scored our goal, while Benzema and Casemiro scored for the visitors.

As we have already mentioned on other occasions, this afternoon’s film was not a premiere, but a new version of a classic. On the one hand, a team that came out for everything from the first minute and another that, with a large dose of quality and effectiveness, put the game to bed before the break with their ability to counter-attack with skill.

In the second half, the initiative, the heart and the good play were tinged with red and white, but it happened as in last season’s match: a hard-fought draw and a second goal from the opposition after two minutes. From there to the end, the strength and morale were no longer the same despite all attempts and a tremendous positive streak at San Mamés came to an end.

In the standings, everything remains the same as fifth and sixth place have lost. Ten games lie ahead, seven of them in April, with a visit to Osasuna to start a marathon with European qualification as the goal.
