New location for Athletic fan zone

The RFEF informed Athletic Club that it has cancelled the agreement reached for our fan zone to be located at the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo and that a new site for the 'Athletic Hiria' has been selected. 

The agreement to locate the Athletic Hiria in the Andalusian Centre of Contemporary Art came after it was assumed by the General Police Department, the Andalusian Regional Government and the RFEF that the initial location did not meet the necessary characteristics to host the kind of fan zone required by Athletic.

Parque Magallanes was clearly too small a space to accommodate the large Athleticzale family that will gather in Seville and, in addition, the trees would have prevented the thousands of fans who will be travelling without tickets from watching the match on giant screens.

Athletic Hiria's new and definitive location, called Solar de las Banderas, will be in a site very close to the Torre Sevilla Shopping Centre, between the Expo'92 and Carlos III avenues, and practically in the same area as the two previous locations. This new site has very similar characteristics to those of the Andalusian Centre of Contemporary Art.

This modification is a serious inconvenience for Athletic Club, which had been working for more than a week on the confirmed location, but we guarantee that fans will still be provided with the best possible services and a very attractive programme of events for the Copa final. That being said, Athletic would like to make public its dissatisfaction with this sudden change.

Finally, Athletic Club would like to let all its Club Members know that it is already working hard to ensure that, even in this new location, Athletic Hiria will be the best possible space where they can enjoy the day together.
