After a 40-year wait, a sea of Athletic fans lined the banks of the river Nervion to catch a glimpse of the 2023/24 Copa del Rey champions
The Copa no.25, the one everyone has been waiting and praying for, finally arrived. La Gabarra, that symbolic barge, hit the waves once more. It was just like our grandparents had told us. More than one million people roared and sang as they paid tribute to our champions, the famous Athletic Club.
We finally saw La Gabarra with our own eyes. It wasn't a dream. It was real. A memory to treasure for forever. For those who are no longer here, for those who are and for those who still to come. Aupa Athletic!
