

For the second International Youthful Championship that will be held (approximately) during the days 15, 16 and 17 of August of 2003 Athletic Club, from the perspective of being a club of everybody and for everybody, has thought about a formule so that any youthful team from Vasc Country can take part in this event. It’s a model of Open participation where the champion will be able to accede to the final phase of the tournament that will be held in the dates previously pointed. The Open Tournament will consist of different previous phases that will be held throughout the year 2003 in the different territories of Vasc Country so that the teams that take part don’thave to cover long distances. The documentation about the previous phases (definite dates, participant teams, duration of the matches…) will be sent to the participant teams shortly. Those are the dates that are jumbling up: 1ª Phase of sector (by provinces); March – April Final Open Phase (interprovinces); May – June International Final Phase Tournament; August For the current tournament the organization is contacting clubs of contrasted prestige as; F.C Barcelona, Ajax FC (Holland), Sao Paulo (Brazil), Manchester United and Liverpool (England), Olimpique Marsella (France), Oporto (Portugal)… that next to Athletic Club and another team coming from the Open Tournament will made up the final panel where 6 teams distributed in two groups of 3 will take part. The age of the players of Youthful category includes the ones who were born from 1 January and 31 December 1987. The last day for the inscription is Friday 27 February 2003.
