New Company will care for the San Mamés pitch

Athletic Club has considered it convenient to proceed to the changeover of Parques y Jardines, the company responsible for the maintenance of San Mamés, thanking it for the services rendered to the entity and for the care in the performance of its functions, conscious likewise of all the difficulties with which it has found itself lately, among them the accumulation of adverse weather conditions for the pitch in the last few months.

The company Parques y Jardines, in their fifth season in charge of the care and maintenance of the San Mamés pitch, several days ago put itself at Athletic Club’s disposal, after the bad impression caused by the condition of the field during the celebration of the Euskadi-Uruguay match on 27 December 2003.

Once the decision has been made, Athletic Club would like to inform that in the days to come, the company Cengotita Flores y Plantas, Inc., which is presently responsible for the maintenance of the Lezama fields, will be in charge of the care and maintenance of the San Mamés pitch.
