The Athletic Club expedition returns from Benasque on Saturday, 10 July at 07:00 hours. During the last week there they performed the following activities:
Monday, 5 July – Mountain bicycle route with exit and arrival in Benasque. Duration 3h. 45′.
Tuesday, 6 July – Rafting in the Esera River, around the locality of Campo. In the evening mountain route up to the Renclusa Refuge. Duration: 2h. 30′.
Wednesday, 7 July – Hydro speed in the Esera river, around the locality of Campo. In the evening some members of the expedition ascended on bicycle to Cerler and the Ampliu.
Thursday, 8 July – Ascent to the Aneto – 3,404 metres. Exit from and arrival to the Hospital of Benasque Lodge. Duration: 9 hours 30′.
Friday, 9 July – Rappelling at the Seira River, in Aigüeta de Barrabuen. In the words of Sabino Padilla, director of the medical services, ‘the experience has been fabulous. We have fulfilled the objectives that we had marked ourselves in this concentration and, on top of it all, the weather has helped us to be able to accomplish the activities we had planned. I would like to emphasize the great atmosphere that has been lived and the enormous sacrifice that the players have made. We should all be very proud of them’.
