Fernando Lamikiz calls for support

Athletic Club President; Fernando Lamikiz has made some statements which can be found on our Webpage with regards to the next mach against Real Club Celta.

He states that ‘Athletic Club is different, neither better nor worse than the others, but with its own characteristics that should give us the strength to deal with critical situations like the one at hand’.

‘We must keep in mind that our sporting philosophy is not based on constant upheaval, the division of our supporters, or having the team fend for itself’. Which is why he hopes that on Saturday ‘The fans will fill San Mamés and give the team their support even before the start of the match. The Cathedral must bear witness to the fact that everyone wants what’s best for our team. I understand that every member has his or her own criteria, and that they may disagree with the Board, but the team needs to go up in the standings as soon as possible and this is our main priority and, for this reason, I reiterate, it is fundamental that we all walk together in the same direction. Athletic Club, will appreciate this’.
