Athletic Club and the new stadium

1. – Athletic Club would like to show its satisfaction for the agreement reached with the City council and the Regional Government, which will allow for the construction of the new San Mamés football ground on the lots that are currently occupied by the Bilbao Trade Fair.

2. – Athletic Club would like to congratulate itself, after some arduous and discreet work, for having overcome all the existing structural difficulties, and considers that the interests of our club with those of the institutions that represent our citizens have been shared, when it comes to bringing off this exciting project.

3. – Athletic Club would like to declare its gratitude to the Bilbao City council and Biscay’s Regional Government for having included the interests of a society as established as ours in their future urban planning.

4. – Athletic Club is already working on all the aspects related to its new stadium (project, engineering, financing, new member recruitment, etc…) In that sense, and in a manner coordinated with the institutions, Athletic Club will keep its members and the general public informed on all the steps taken to see this new and exciting project through for Bilbao, Biscay and the club itself.
