Footwear for Benasque and Tignes

Athletic Club and the company CHIRUCA have reached an agreement on the supply of alpine equipment; more concretely, adequate footwear that will allow the club’s premier team to properly perform the stages in Benasque and in Tignes.

The Chiruca brand is part of CALZADOS FAL, S.A., a company located in Arnedo, Rioja, which has a 14,000 m2 factory and a workforce of 170 employees. Chiruca’s activity is the manufacture of mountain and outdoor footwear, for winter as well as for summer.

Currently, Chiruca is the leading brand in the manufacture of mountain, trekking and hunting footwear; a brand that is exported to 5 continents and which has a 25% market share in mountain and outdoor footwear.

Specifically, the model that our players will be wearing is the Cartago 09, from the CXT-Trail Running line; specially designed for mountain and trail running. It is a low shoe made of waterproof nubuck and split leather Cordura with water-repellent laces. They feature waterproof, breathable Gore Tex XCR lining, as well as TPU reinforcements at the heels and rubber reinforced toecaps; an exclusive Chiruca fastening system and reflective safety elements, in addition to many other characteristics that make it the perfect boot.
