The Cadet team taking part in Nike Premier Cup

Starting on 6 August, Athletic Club’s cadet team will take part in the final phase of the International Nike Premier Cup in Manchester. The Nike Premier Cup is, in effect, a World Cup of clubs in the category. In addition, we should recall, that our team already won this trophy in the 1997-98 season in Paris.

Our team won the right to participate in this final phase after defeating Barcelona in the penalty shootout, after a one-one draw, and thereby being proclaimed champions of the Nike Cup this past 28 May 2006.

The following are the 19 teams that have won the right to participate in this year’s edition of the tournament and that will accompany our cadets, who are coached by Edorta Murua.
