During the last two weeks more than 3,000 people have visited the Trophy and Exhibition Room (San Mamés, door 26) to see the features of the new football field. Over the next few days Athletic Club fans and members can still get information about the details of this project, which will be debated during the Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting to be held of Friday, 23 March (Euskalduna Palace, 19:15 hours).

There are three scale-models of the new San Mamés on display. One shows the building structure of the future football field, the second its location in the city and the third a cross-section of the grandstand so that the visitor can study all the different perspectives of the project meticulously. The educational exhibition, with illustrated panels, old San Mamés photographs and an explanatory video provided by the team of Architects, has created an enormous interest.

In the Trophy and Exhibition Room one can see the thrill on the faces of the members and fans as they take a look at the future Athletic Club stadium and one can sense the enthusiasm that a so called “5-Star” stadium can stir up in a city such as Bilbao. The exterior lighting and the translucent structure, as well as the other services which the new San Mamés offers, are just some of the project’s innovating features that have been acknowledged by the visitors. ‘In keeping with this Club’, ‘very attractive’ or ‘just what the fans deserve’ are just some of the comments made by the members and supporters.
