Athletic’s Piru Gainza Supporters’ Club in Basauri will pay tribute to Manolo Delgado Meco for his exceptional career with the red-white club.
For more than three decades, he’s been characterized for his tireless work, in silence, trying to go by unnoticed. Number one in his professional facet, he’s always maintained a great relationship with all the managers with whom he’s worked, trainers that have always praised his work; as well as with the footballers, the great majority of which he’s seen grow up since childhood.
Basauri’s Social Antzokia will be the venue for this deserved recognition on Tuesday, 22 May, starting at 19:30 hours. Athletic’s physical trainer will be presented with a sculpture by local artist Jesus Lizaso. Previously, Athletic’s Piru Gainza Supporters’ Club presented this distinction to Josu Urrutia for having served 25 years in the rojiblanca organization. Attending the event will be premier team players and technical body, whereas the organization will be represented by the president of the club, Ana Urquijo whom, along with current Board members, former players and Board directors will all endorse Manolo Delgado in this poignant ceremony.
9th Piru Gainza Supporters’ Club Tournament
