Now that Athletic Club’s Board of directors have resigned, in the meeting held this past 30th of May, the Managing Committee, by virtue of the provisions in Articles 68 to 73 of the Club Statutes, announces Elections for President and Board of directors, in accordance with the following guidelines:

The Board of Directors will be composed of an uneven number of members, with a minimum of 11 and a maximum of 21.

In order to be a candidate to the Presidency or Board of Directors it is necessary to meet the following criteria:

a) To be of legal age.
b) To have fully established civil rights.
c) Not be the subject of sanctions which may disqualify him/her to carry out managerial positions.
d) Not hold a managerial position in other Football Clubs nor be in active-duty as a player, referee, coach or trainer of such at the time of proclamation as a candidate.
e) To enjoy one year of uninterrupted seniority as a Member of the Club.

All Members that meet the following requirements will be able to exercise their vote.

a) To be of legal age.
b) To have fully established civil rights.
c) Not have his/her condition as a member suspended at the time the call for elections was announced.
d) To enjoy one year of uninterrupted seniority as a Member of the Club.
e) Be included on the Electoral Roll.

A public draw for the designation of Electoral Board members is not necessary since the Electoral Board formally constituted in the meeting held on 30 May 2006 is still in force, designated in accordance to Article 72 of Athletic Club Statutes.

The Electoral Roll will be on display at the Ibaigane Headquarters, Member Services Office, from 4 to 8 June 2007.

The deadline for Members to file claims in relation to the Electoral Roll will be 13 June 2007. All claims must be formulated in writing directed to the Electoral Board and must be sent by certified mail or hand delivered at the Club’s headquarters.

The resolution of claims by the Electoral Board with regards to the Roll will be followed through on 15 June 2007, by means of a letter sent to the claimant’s address on file in the Club’s archives.

The period to present candidacies will begin on Wednesday, 12 June and shall end on 22 June at 24:00.

Only candidacies guaranteed by 5% of Members with the right to vote will be admitted.

The proclamation of candidacies by the Electoral Board will be on 27 June, at 18:00 hours.

Elections will be held at Ibaigane on 12 July, from 9:00 – 21:00 hours.

There will be 15 ballot boxes for voting in person and one for postal votes.

In order to vote Members must identify themselves by presenting either their DNI or Passport.
