Match Against Poverty

Joseba Etxeberria and Aitor Ocio will represent Athletic Club in the fifth edition of the Match against Poverty that the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has organized for Monday, 19 November, in Malaga.

International Soccer All-Stars will once again meet, this time at La Rosaleda, for a good cause. Year after year, as United Nations good will ambassadors, Ronaldo and Zidane, have been committed to raising public awareness about poverty and UNDP development projects whilst also involving the world of soccer; so far five fund-raising matches have been held in Basel, Madrid, Düsseldorf, Marseilles and, now, in Malaga.

Our players have accepted Ronaldo and Zidane’s personal invitation, and had no doubts in contributing with their presence to this event.

All funds raised will be destined to specific projects in the fight against poverty, which are notified to all match participants personally.
