Iraizoz’ Surgery: Sidelined for five to six months

Gorka Iraizoz underwent surgery on the evening of Thursday, 17 January; performed by Dr. Ramon Cugat. The operation has consisted of an end to end suture of the tendon of the Anterior Rectus Femoris Muscle, right quadriceps. The player will be hospitalized until the beginning of next week. He will be sidelined for approximately five to six months.

By the express desire of the player, as well as his family and that of Athletic Club, the maximum respect to his privacy and to his post-surgery recovery is requested and, therefore, visits are restricted.

Once he returns to Bilbao, the player and Athletic Club Medical Services will offer a press conference.
