Training session at Mestalla

Athletic Club had an afternoon training session on 12 May at Mestalla from 19:30 hours to 20:45, their last before the final. The first fifteen minutes went ahead among great expectation from the media, who had taken more than the scheduled quarter of an hour to leave the field, after which the session was behind closed doors.

Afterwards, Coach Joaquín Caparrós and Captain Joseba Etxeberria gave a press conference at Mestalla, pointing out both actively and passively that the team had come to Valencia to win the final. The names of the players in the line up were not facilitated.

When the players either came or went, they received their first signs of encouragement.
