Gurpegi and San José, in Press Room

Carlos Gurpegi and Mikel San José have been the guest players in the Lezama press room on Friday, 8 January.

The midfielder has declared that ‘Malaga is on an eight-match winning streak and it is going to be complicated’. He reminds us, on the contrary, that ‘many go up on the attack and we’ll have to take advantage of those spaces. Take care of not making fouls near the area since Duda is very good in that aspect’. On the personal aspect he’s said to feel good playing on the right ‘and because of losing one match it’s not going to affect me, I feel very well and I hope to continue being counted on and improving’.

The defender, on the other hand, stated that he’s quite pleased with his situation, but he doesn’t know if he’ll continue being a part of the starting line-up: ‘It may appear that I am going to play, but there’s still time until Sunday and it will be the mister who decides’. He acknowledges he’s gained weight, ‘but my way of playing is still the same’. In addition he stated that ‘we are playing well away and we must continue doing so in spite of the mishap in Mallorca’.
