Contributions to the Statutes

The Commission in charge of elaborating Athletic Club’s Social Statutes Reform project had a meeting yesterday, Monday, 7 February, at Ibaigane Palace and approved the draft that will be exhibited publicly, as of Wednesday, 9 February, in the Member Services office and on the Club’s web page in order to receive the members’ initial contributions and statements.
With the aim of incorporating all the necessary statements, the Commission has established a preliminary period, prior to the commencement of the stipulated statutory period, which will be extended until Thursday, 17 February.
Once this period is over the Commission, from 18 February onwards, will hold a new meeting and the Club will proceed with the convening of an Extraordinary General Assembly, with the intention that this meeting be held in the week that coincides with 10 and 17 April.
With the convening of the Assembly in charge of studying and, if the case be, approving the envisaged reform, there will be a new deadline for the submission of proposals and suggestions by members, as foreseen in the statutes, that will end on 28 February. Afterwards, the Commission will draft the statutory text’s definitive project, expecting this to be approved by the Commission and made public. And expecting also that it be approved by the associate members as of 18 March, until voting takes place on the day of the Assembly.
During these two periods which have been established for the gathering of member statements, the Commission has established different mechanisms to facilitate the lodgement of contributions by members and these are as follows:
