Club Athletic membership card: new design

The Athletic Club Fundazioa Foundation is maintaining its agreement with the Contemporary Art Centre Bilbaoarte via which a piece of art by one of the centre’s resident artists is used each year in the Club Athletic membership card’s design and diptych. The one chosen for 2011 is by a young photographer Patrik Grijalvo (Bilbao, 1984), who stands out for taking a kind of photo of an abstract nature in line with what can be called photographic pictorialism. For the Foundation, Grijalvo has taken a partial photograph of Athletic Club’s crest located outside San Mamés, in such a way that even though it is recognizable the crest seems to be pictoric, almost minimalist.

The agreement between the Athletic Club Fundazioa Foundation and the Bilbaoarte Foundation has the aim of helping in the diffusion of the artwork by the resident artists at the contemporary art centre of Bilbao. And are In line with the objectives that our Foundation has in promoting creative culture in the world of football.
