Athletic Club has notified all those members who have a seat in the Southern Grandstand (lower tier) at San Mamés, that due to Athletic Club’s participation in the next edition of the UEFA Europa League Competition, the Club is obliged to abide by the security rules set by said competition. To be exact, Article 14, item 8 of the UEFA Europa League Regulations state that “the clubs must reserve at least 5% of the field’s crowd capacity for the visiting supporters in an area that is secure and separate…” Regardless of whether these seats are to be occupied or not. The Ertzaintza’s Safety/Security department, and its Games and Public Spectacle Department, under instruction form the Basque Government’s Department of the Interior, have decided that the Southern Grandstand (lower tier) is the most appropriate and safest place for this.

The Club will compensate the members affected with a seat in another grandstand at half price. The Club will notify, on each occasion, the date and methods of purchase of the tickets or the vouchers for the group stage.
