Athletic´s Entourage in Manchester

The Athletic Club expedition left from Bilbao´s airport at 17:50 hours on a charter flight and two hours later arrived in Manchester (Terminal 2). Athletic will take on Manchester United this Thursday the 8th of March at 20:05 (21:05 hours in Bilbao, on channel La Cuatro). This is the first qualifying round of the 16 of the European League. The team left the airport in a bus and arrived at the Edwardian Radisson Hotel in Manchester.

The Board of Directors is comprised of the following members: Xavier Pérez, Ángel Gorostidi, Silvia Muriel, Yolanda Lázaro, Ramón Alkorta and Jokin Garate. The Sporting Division Heads are Jose Mari Amorrortu and Aitor Larrazabal. Athletic Club President Josu Urrutia and General Director Jon Berasategi were present along with aforementioned members that evening.

On this flight there were 18 reporters and 270 fans. In total, Iberia, Athletic Club´s official airline, organized seven flights that transported 1,600 people to Manchester. The prior record of people transported to an Athletic Club match via Iberia was 1,200 people on route to Vienna, Austria.
