Zigor Alkorta´s photographs in the Museum

Continuing with the exposition series that the Athletic Club Museum has dedicated to the photographers that follow the everyday work of the team, Zigor´s work can be seen in the main hall.

Zigor Alkorta (Santurtzi 1973) is currently the chief of Deia’s photography department. Zigor has been working for Deia since 1998. He has been involved with sport photography since the initial stages of his career and was a contributor to a cycling magazine called “Meta 2000”. Alkorta has been capturing the day by day of Athletic Club since 2000.

Zigor Alkorta´s is showcasing series of first work that reflects the various states of emotion that the players feel during a match: the concentration and tension before a fixture, the joy that comes with scoring a goal, or the frustration of making a costly mistake.

We remind all visitors to the Museum that we will have a drawing for one of these fine photographs, and the rest will be available for purchase.
