This morning, like every day after training, we shouted our usual team battle cry and, in return, the Wukro players, taught us a song and its choreography. They explained that it is usually sung when they win. We hope to learn it well so we can teach it to our teammates on our return.

After breakfast we accompanied the professors to the summer classes that are taught in Sant Mary. Students are divided in three groups depending on their age; the younger ones are with Leire and Irati, the middle children with Blanca and Amaia and the older ones with Tomas and Argiñe. Their timetable is from 9 to 11 in the morning and study geography, mathematics and English, although sometimes other subject may also be taught. Most of the teaching material that arrives at the mission is not adapted, so imagine how difficult it must be to learn something in English that one has never seen and that one may not even be able to actually say in one’s mother tongue.

After lunch Abba Melaku and Abba Gebre requested 15 volunteers. We spent all afternoon loading tables and chairs and decorating the assembly hall where this Saturday the graduation will be held. It is a very important event in this city and the young people of the city rent out caps and gowns for the occasion. They have invited us to the event, so later on we hope to let everyone know how the ceremony went.

We ended the day with a philosophical after-dinner chat in which we talked about various subjects with our companions from the mission.
