Foundation supports the Hegosport Tournament

The Athletic Club Fundazioa Foundation collaborates with the Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals and Transsexuals association of Bilbao, HEGOAK, which organizes the amateur 7-a-side Football tournament, Hegosport.

The tournament will be held on Saturday, 19 July, at the Etxezuri football ground, in Sarriko, from ten in the morning to approximately five in the afternoon when, after the final, the award ceremony will take place.

Participating in the tourney are 10 teams from Bilbao, Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia in both male and female categories.
The objective of this tournament is to promote the visibility of the LGBT group in the scope of football, eliminating stereotypes and thus contributing to eradicate homophobia in sports, more so in football, where it is still very present.

Admission is free, which is why we encourage everyone to attend and cheer on the participating teams.
