Athletic Club, in Idaho

Representatives of Athletic Club, specifically of its Women’s team, made up by Iraia Iturregi, Erika Vázquez and Ainhoa Tirapu participating these days in a soccer camp for 115 boys and girls (60% girls). This is the result of an invitation extended by the residents of the Basque community there to our organization. The sessions are held every day from 9:00 to 13:00 hours.

In the afternoons our players take time to learn more about the Basque community of Idaho and the treatment they are receiving is outstanding. They have been received by the mayor of Boise, Dave Bieter, with whom they conversed in both English and Euskara. Also, the Club representatives learned first-hand some of the plans that are being shuffled around in view of Jaialdi 2015, the celebration the Basque community organizes every five years.
