Everything is set for the dispute of the match between Athletic Club and SSC Napoli, corresponding to the second leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off round (20:45, Cuneyt Cakir – TUR -, San Mamés, C+Liga de Campeones).
On Wednesday, 27 August, following UEFA Regulations, the organizational meeting has been held in the San Mamés facilities at 10:30 hours under the direction of the UEFA delegate, the French Jean Louis Piette, and with the presence, among others, of the fourth referee, the Turk Cem Satman.
Among the decisions made at this meeting, in addition to administrative and security measures to abide by during the match, the decision about the kits to be worn by both teams was also defined. Our club will sport their first kit and the goalkeepers will be donning grey jersey, pants and socks.
On the part of SSC Napoli, the players will be wearing blue jerseys, white shorts and blue socks, while the goalkeepers will be wearing an all-green kit. The presence of some 250 Czech followers is expected in the stands.
A packed San Mamés is expected, 50,000 spectators, and the presence of 700 Italian followers in the stands. The sky is totally and the temperature is 30 degrees in Bilbao, but is expected to be somewhat lower at game time.
President Josu Urrutia headed the Athletic Club delegation which shared a luncheon with the leaders of the Italian team.
