Everything is ready for the match between Bate Borisov and Athletic Club, corresponding to the second matchday of the UEFA Champions League Groups Phase (20:45, Stephane, Laurent Lannoy – FRA -, Borisov Arena, C+Liga de Campeones).
On Tuesday, 30 September, as is the norm in UEFA competitions, the organizational meeting was held at Borisov Arena facilities at 10:30 hours, under the direction of the UEFA delegate, the Turk Metin Kazanzioglu, and in the presence of, among others, the arbitration observer, the German Wilfried Heitmann.
Among the decisions made at this meeting, in addition to administrative and security measures to abide by during the match, the kit to be worn by both teams was also defined. On the part of Athletic Club, our team will sport the first kit; that is, red/white jersey and black shorts and socks. The goalkeepers will don green jersey, pants and socks.
On the part of BATE Borisov, the players will be donning blue jersey, shorts and socks, whereas the goalies will be sporting an all-white kit.
A near full-house is expected in Borisov Arena as well as the presence of 110 rojiblanco followers. Skies are clear and the temperature is 16 degrees in Borisov, which is expected to drop to 7 degrees at kickoff.
President Josu Urrutia headed the Athletic Club delegation with the leaders of the Belarus team at the official dinner on Monday the 29th. He will also be attending the Youth League match.
