South Goal Cheering Stand

The transfer to the new San Mamés Stadium allowed Athletic Club to offer the possibility…

The transfer to the new San Mamés Stadium allowed Athletic Club to offer the possibility of generating two zones at both goal ends of the stadium that could match or improve, even more so, the intense relationship between the crowd in the stands and the team which has always been so highly-valued throughout our history.

To this end, and on the occasion of being able to bring together so much the new generations as those that wish to contribute to continue creating such a special atmosphere as that which San Mamés is so well known for, the so-called Cheering Stands were created and were applied discounted prices with respect to other equivalent zones. All those people that decided to choose these two zones were profusely informed of the conditions and the objective by which they were created, namely, for cheering on the team in a vocal manner understanding that this purpose outweighs the ‘comfort’ that can be had in other seats/locations of the stadium, and into the bargain, at a reduced price.

So far this season, some problems have been identified generated by the different points of view and objectives of the people who attend the Cheering Stands and that have resulted in coexistence difficulties.
Reiterating that the primary goal of the two Cheering Stands is to CHEER and allow others to root for the team, and with the purpose of allowing those people who understand that the possible ‘inconveniences’ they have discovered once they’ve tested the zone do not satisfy them, Athletic Club has started an initiative to identify so much those Members who wish to be transferred to a Cheering Stand from other areas of the stadium, as those that wish to abandon a cheering block and search for a new location in the rest of the field. In the first phase, this initiative is going to be confined to Cheering block 124 of the South Goal Stands.

To do so, an application has been articulated on the Athletic Club website (www.athletic-club.net), and following a few simple steps any Member can convey their wishes:

– Click on the Member’s Txoko tab.
– In the tab ‘South Goal Cheering Stand’ in the Member’s Txoko, one of following texts will appear, based on each Member’s case:
1. I wish to change my seat and move to block 124 – South Goal Cheering Stand
2. I wish to change my seat and abandon block 124- South Goal Cheering Stand

Term: From Wednesday, 26 November, until Friday, 12 December 2014.

As of 12 December, Athletic Club will carefully analyze the information successfully gathered so as to evaluate possible location or seat exchanges.

The Member who participates in this survey is merely showing his/her predisposition to study a possible transfer. Athletic Club, on the other hand, shows its will to study the viability of seat location changes. Only when the interests of one and all Members converge will seat changes be undertaken.

A mailbox is provided in that same section where Members can post queries or suggestions to the Club. These can also be made by calling 94 424 08 77.
