Athletic Club has set into motion the seat change process so that Club Members who wish to do so can choose an available seat different from that they currently occupy in San Mamés.

Seat changes would be effective for the next match that is played in San Mamés, unless the sale of tickets to the general public for said match is already open at the time such change is made, in which case, it would take effect the Monday following the match.

How to participate in the process

Interested Members will have to evidence this interest by accessing, with their Member code and PIN number, the link available in the Txoko de los Socios (Member’s Txoko) on the Club’s official website, www.athletic-club.eus and following the instructions therein.

The fact of registering for the process does not imply relinquishing the seat currently occupied. In any case, after verifying the available seats, the Member will be able to decide to either keep the seat currently held or change locality at their appointment for change.

Criteria set for the call

The registered Members will go on to comprise a list ordered from greater to less seniority by which they will be summoned to view the seats available throughout the stadium

They will be able to be grouped if they so wish and, even if grouped, they will be able to choose non-contiguous seats; however, they must always be in the same stand. In case of grouping, all the Members of the group or none of the members will have to make the change.

Determination of Seniority

Seniority is defined as the period of time elapsed from the date of admission (the last if there are more than one) of a Member in the Club, as number Member.

To calculate seniority, the period of time elapsed since the date of admission to the date of publication of the list will be computed (1 April 2015).

To calculate the average seniority of a group, the seniority of all the members of the group will be added (the sum of the periods of time elapsed since the date of admission) and it shall be divided by the number of group members. This way, all the groups and individual Members will be perfectly comparable.

Should there be a draw in the seniority calculation; the group (or individual Member) that includes the member with greater seniority will be summoned first.

Should a tie persist, the group (or individual Member) that includes a Member with a member code closest to 1 will be summoned first.

Limited Mobility

That Member that holds the certificate from the Bizkaia Provincial Government that accredits some scale of limited mobility, or that documentarily accredits the difficulty to go up and down stairs, will be able to choose a seat in row 26 of the lower tier stand, reserved exclusively for these cases.

Deadline to Request Seat Changes

The link will be available in the Txoko de los Socios (Member’s Txoko) on the official Club website from 10:00 hours of 16 March to 18:00 hours of 30 March. NO later requests will be complied.

Publication of List and Summons

The List of Members which, individually or grouped, have asked for a change of seat will be published on 1 April, on the Club’s official website. The list may also be consulted at the Members Services Office in Ibaigane.

The details of the Member codes and the seniority that corresponds to each individual or group will be included, according to their selection.

From the experience of last year we can conclude that after the first appointments the interest of Members about the remaining seats available descends, which is why many decide not to attend their appointments. To resolve this problem, the Club has prepared the following system:

1 – The first listing, published on 1 April, will indicate the date, time and place of exclusively the appointments for the month of April. The Club will not telephone or send any electronic mail communication whatsoever to these applicants.

2 – As far as the appointments for the rest of requests, the Club will send change request applicants an e-mail on 27 April urging them to confirm if they are still interested in changing their seats knowing the seats that have already been occupied. To confirm an appointment with the Club, it will be necessary to respond to that e-mail before 24:00 hours of 29 April.

On 30 April, the Club will publish the second listing of appointments including all those requests that have been confirmed from 27 April to 24:00 hours of 29 April.

Any applicant who has not confirmed by the deadline will not be able to go to the Club to make a seat change until all the arranged appointments finalize.

If an applicant is unable to attend an appointment, he/she will be able to request another by e-mail, telephone or personally.

Seat Selection

It will not be necessary for the Member him/herself to attend the appointment. It will be enough for whoever does, in their behalf, to present the current Membership card, along with a photocopy of the current DNI of the person who represents the Member. In the case of Members that enjoy a discount due to age or seniority, it will be essential that they attend in person, unless they properly accredit that it is not possible.

In case of making the change effective the corresponding difference between the fee for the current seat and the new seat will be made. The payment or collection of the difference will be made at the moment, with either cash or credit/debit card.

Other Considerations

The localities that could be released by Members that indeed change their seat will not be eligible by Members that have a later appointment, but will be reserved for the seat changing process of the following season. The listing published along with these rules is the only one eligible.

In case a Member makes a barter or exchange of seat with another Member before the beginning of the seat changing process, once this process ends, he/she will not be able to make an inverse exchange with that Member.

The Club will publish, at the end of every work day, the original list of seats available by highlighting in red all those seats that have been chosen that day or on previous days.
