Friendly match in Boise

Athletic Club will take part in a friendly match in Boise (Idaho-United States) on July 29 at the Albertsons Stadium of Boise State University against Club Tijuana Xoloitzuintles.

For Athletic Club, it will be the first time in 117 years that it has played a match in the United States. In addition, the presence of our team coincides with the celebration of Jaialdia in Boise, a Basque festival that is held every five years. On this occasion, it is scheduled between the July 28 and August 2.

As for our opponents, Club Tijuana, who are located in Baja California, have just become champions of the Clausura Tournament in the Liga MX. Founded in 2007, in 2011 it achieved promotion to the top division and in 2012 became the fastest club to win a championship after reaching the elite, in this case having won the Apertura Tournament. Among its ranks there are various young American players, among them Joe Corona, who has won 14 international caps with the full USA team.
