All’s set to welcome Valencia CF

Everything is ready in San Mamés for the dispute of the match between Athletic Club and Valencia CF, corresponding to the first leg of the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 (21:05, Bjorn Kuipers – San Mamés, Bein Sports).

On Thursday, 10 March, following UEFA regulations, the organizational meeting was held at the San Mamés facilities at 10:30 hours under the direction of the UEFA delegate, the German Thomas Weyhing.

Among the decisions made at this meeting, in addition to sporting, administrative and security measures to abide by during the match, the decision about the kits to be worn by both teams was also defined. On the part of Athletic Club, our team will be sporting their first kit, with the goalkeepers donning green kits. On the part of Valencia CF, players will wear an all-white kit, with white socks, whereas the goalkeepers will be wearing blue kits.

The presence of some 200 Valencian fans is expected. Skies are gray, it is raining and the temperature is 9 degrees, more or less the same conditions expected for game time.

The Athletic Club institutional representatives will have lunch, this same Thursday, 10 March, with the visiting club’s leaders and UEFA representatives in Ibaigane.
