Defeat in Albacete

A goal from Pulido which was scored during the last stage of the match, left Bilbao Athletic without any chance to return from Albacete in the last away match of the season in Liga Adelante. Jason scored the opening goal and after the half time interval, Santamaría leveled the game and when everything was indicating that the game would end in a draw, hosts scored the second goal.

The highlight of the match was, perhaps, the support of Athletic Club support in a soulless Carlos Belmonte stadium.

During the second half Albacete put more pressure on the attack and Jason whippet into the area finishing well. Our players started to attack and Santamaría leveled the game. With the replacements of Vesga, Córdoba and Villalibre, our team gave its best to win. However, luck didn’t help and the game finished with another defeat.

The last match of the season will be next Saturday, at Lasesarre, against Tenerife.
