Official Poster 2016/2017

Athletic Club presents its official poster for the 2016/17 season.

For this occasion the chosen image for the background of the poster has been a picture of the famous Biscayan painter and athleticzale José Arrue. The artist born in Bilbao in 1885, performed the play ‘Romería’ in 1920, painting that is currently on display at the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum.

The author took the Athletic Club to his work on several occasions as ‘Campo de San Mames’ (1913-1914) or ‘Athletic Club Team’ (1915) in which he portrayed the squad directed at that time by Mr. Barnes winner of the Cup, as well as other illustrations.

Kutxabank, sponsor of the Athletic Club, will distribute in their offices more than 100,000 posters from all its customers. In addition, they also will be sold in official stores Athletic Club.
