Yeray Álvarez: Medical Update

Yeray Álvarez: The player has passed, on June 12, 2017, the last of the controls provided within the active surveillance of the evolution of testicular tumor that was detected and intervened in December 2016.

In the radiological control an abnormality (adenopathy) has been detected that must be treated, reason why in the next days the player will begin a complementary treatment (chemotherapy) indicated by the specialists.

The player will leave today June 13 the concentration of the Spanish national team U21. The estimated period of medical leave will be approximately three months.

As was done at the time of his illness, Athletic Club is at Yeray Álvarez’s disposition and requests respect and discretion for the privacy of the player and his relatives.
