Change: FC Basel will be the rival in July 12th

Athletic Club will play against FC Basel, instead of Servette FC, in the first game of the Challenge League in what will be the first game of the 2017/18 preseason.
The duel will be played in the same place and time that were previously scheduled, at the Stade Christ Roi, Lens at 19.00 hours.

FC Basel have been champion of the Swiss Superleague since 2010 without interruption and in this campaign has also obtained the Cup title.

The Swiss were Athletic Club rivals in the 1976/77 season – Athletic lost that final against Juventus – specifically in the round of 32, with a tie in Switzerland and Athletic’s victory at San Mamés 3-1 .
