Athletic Club Clarification

1. Athletic Club expressly rejects the allegations, absolutely uncertain, about alleged abuses of power and sarcasm, having acted with total transparency and respect towards the Club Atletico Osasuna in the process of incorporation of the player Jesús Areso:

a.On Tuesday, July 4, 2017, Athletic Club informed Club Atlético Osasuna of its willingness to pay the full amount of the termination clause that CA Osasuna and player Jesús Areso had agreed to in their employment contract.
The contacts were made via telephone, first it was tried to speak with the President (with whom we could not communicate) and later with the General Director. In the conversation with the latter, it is the Club Atlético Osasuna who, at first, raises the possibility that the operation can be articulated through a transfer.

b.On Wednesday, July 5, 2017 Club Atlético Osasuna communicates by telephone to Athletic Club that the operation can not finally be carried out through a transfer, so the only way for Athletic Club to incorporate the player is to pay the amount of the clause.

c.On Thursday July 6, 2017 Athletic Club informs the Club Atlético Osasuna in writing that, the following day, Friday 7 July, will proceed to deposit the amount of the termination clause of the player in the Professional Football League.

2. Obviously, the Club Atlético Osasuna determines, in each case, the conditions for the departure of their players to the different teams. As far as our organization is concerned, Athletic Club has simply limited itself to putting them into practice, with the utmost respect, always after prior and direct contact with the Navarre entity.
