Sixth Euskal Herriko Kopa for Athletic Club

Athletic Club has won the seventh edition of the Euskal Herriko Kopa women’s football, defeating Real Sociedad (3-0) in the final, played in Elgoibar, with goals from Garazi, Nekane and Erika.

With the edition played on August 27, Athletic Club already has six titles in this tournament (Bakio 2011, Azpeitia 2013, Bilbao 2014, Zarautz 2015, Gernika 2016 and Elgoibar 2017), while Real Sociedad won in Beasain in 2012 .

Athletic was ahead in the minute 16, when Garazi finished with a header a corner kick taken by Erika. Three minutes later, the shot by Lucia Garcia crashed into the post. With four minutes left to reach the break, Eunate took a free kick and in the far post Nekane scored the second.
In the second half, Nekane’s shot stumbled on the post and three minutes later, Erika used a pass from Leia to achieve the final 0-3.
