Summary of the press conference

President Josu Urrutia has announced in his usual press conference that Athletic Club has reached an agreement with Eibar for the incorporation of player Ander Capa from next season. The transfer reveals the desire of the player both to play at Athletic Club and to respect the SD Eibar, with which he had a contract until 2019.

As for the renewal of Kepa Arrizabalaga, the president has reiterated his willingness to carry with the utmost discretion the negotiations with any of the players that finalize contract and has reminded that the previous comments neither benefit nor respond to the interests of Athletic Club.

Asked about the start of the season, Josu Urrutia has emphasized the competitiveness that Athletic has demonstrated both in the previous phase of the Europa League and in the first league commitments, and recalled that the same competitiveness is the one that has defined the trajectory of the team in recent years. In that sense, has appreciated the importance of the policy of Lezama for a club like Athletic and has shown its satisfaction by the large number of players trained in Lezama that integrate the current team.

The President also pointed out that the Ordinary General Assembly will be held on October 4 at the Euskalduna Palace.
