Tie to be settled at Lezama

Joseba Agirre’s squad did a great performance in the first half, as they got to the break with two goals ahead. The match didn’t start well though, as the red-and-white team lost Yulema Corres in the very beginning of the game. Luckily enough, the goal chances arrived soon, in minute 7, when Maite shot from outside the area, what got a great clearance by Mariasun in response. Vanesa Gimbert got ahead of Athletic with a powerful header (18’) that came from the right side. In minute 35’, another great intervention of the local goalkeeper avoided a second goal.  In the second half, the move was mainly at the red-and-white area, although there wasn’t any chance of goal. Lucía shot straight to Mariasun’s hands (25’) in the first goal attempt of the red-and-white in the second half. Manu scored in minute 87’, getting closer to Athletic, who will play the second leg match at Lezama on next Wednesday, with a goal ahead of the round.
