New away shirt for the 2018/2019 season

Athletic Club and New Balance officially announced on this Friday 8th June the team’s away shirt for the upcoming 2018/2019 season. The new kit is inspired by the first outfit worn by Athletic Club before 1909, taking that original design into a brand new one with several changes. Firstly, it replaces white with blue; so that the new design has two tones of blue. Secondly, the shirt collar disappears and it gets a red finishing instead. Lastly, the line that splits both sides of the shirt symbolises the slats of the new San Mames stadium. The shirt belongs to the “Loyal to the last” campaign which, along with the “Geuriak” slogan (meaning ‘ours’ in Basque), emphasises the sense of belonging shared both by the team and fans. Additionally, New Balance has made the new kit for the upcoming season employing the cutting-edge technology NB DRY, which gives priority to free movement as well as it helps maintaining an ideal body temperature and perspiration.
