First training session of 2018/19 season

Athletic Club’s first team has started their training sessions of 2018/19 season in Lezama. There are 34 players that have started the preseason with the coach Eduardo Berizzo:

Kepa Arrizabalaga (he will join around July 23rd), Iago Herrerín, Alex Remiro, Unai Simón, Iñigo Lekue, Ander Capa, Oscar de Marcos, Xabi Etxeita, Unai Núñez, Yeray Álvarez, Mikel Balenziaga, Iñigo Martínez, Yuri Berchiche, Cristian Ganea, Andoni López, Ander Iturraspe, Mikel San José, Dani García, Unai López, Beñat Etxebarria, Mikel Rico, Oihan Sancet, Peru Nolaskoain, Iñigo Muñoz, Iñaki Williams, Markel Susaeta, Raúl García, Aritz Aduriz, Iñigo Vicente, Iker Muniain, Iñigo Córdoba, Asier Villalibre, Sabin Merino and Gorka Guruzeta.

The coaching staff is completed by:

Ernesto Marcucci, first assistant coach (in River Plate’s lower categories as a player; Estudiantes de La Plata, O’Higgins, Real Club Celta and Sevilla FC as assistant coach of Eduardo Berizzo)

Roberto Bonano, second assistant coach (Professional footballer from 1991 to 2008 in Rosario Central, River Plate, FC Barcelona, Murcia, Deportivo Alavés and Argentina National Football Team. He also has worked as Berizzo’s assistant in Estudiantes de La Plata, O’Higgins, Real Club Celta and Sevilla FC)

Mariano Uglesich, third assistant coach (professional football player in Velez Sarsfield -two stages-, Queretaro, Arsenal de Sarandi, Albacete Balompié, Olimpia, Cerro Porteño,

O’Higgins -coached by Berizzo-, Universidad Católica in Ecuador and Quilmes; Sevilla FC as Berizzo’s assistant.

Pablo Fernández, physical trainer (Newell’s Old Boys -two stages-, Saudi Arabia National Team, Yokohama Marinos, Club Atlético Argentino -two stages-, Unión Atlético Táchira, Caracas FC, Club Atlético River Plate, Club Atlético Tiro Federal -two stages-, Oxford United FC, San Lorenzo de Almagro -two stages-, América de México, ACCD Mineros de Guayana, O´Higgins, Real Club Celta, Sevilla FC, -the last three teams with Berizzo-

Carlos Kisluk, goalkeeper coach (Velez Sarsfield -in various stages and responsibilities-, Independiente de Avellaneda, Chacarita Junior, Estudiantes de la Plata -from here with Eduardo Berizzo-, O’Higgins, Real Club Celta, Sevilla FC)

Alberto Iglesias, coach (as coach Santutxu FC, lower categories Athletic Club from 1997 to 2005, Haro Deportivo, CD Guijuelo, Barakaldo CF, Club Portugalete; from 2010 to 2016, director of the Bizkaia Coaches’ School)
