Presentation in Bayonne of the International Congress of Peñas

The City Council of Baiona has served as the venue for the presentation of the next International Congress of Athletic Club Peñas.

The mayor Jean René Etchegaray has been at the head of a large municipal representation of Baiona, the capital that will open its doors to the red-and-white peñistas from the 26th to the 28th of this month.

Athletic Club, which has counted with the presence of the directive Goyo Arbizu and Carlos Gurpegi, has thanked the organizers for their efforts to bring one of their great annual appointments for the first time to the territory of Iparralde.

The Peña Athletic de Baiona has explained the details of what will be the Congress. Gastronomic meetings for peñistas, tourism around the city and its surroundings and an exhibition on the Athletic in the Basque Museum of Baiona are some of the plans included in the extensive agenda that will begin on Friday 26th with the presence of the president of Athletic Club, Aitor Elizegi, at the inauguration.

On Saturday 27th of April the match against Deportivo Alavés can be watched in the bars of Baiona that collaborate with the Congress, and on Sunday the weekend will end with the traditional brotherhood meal.
