Tournaments of Juniors and Cadet A teams

Athletic Club’s Juniors B is competing today in Almeria for the VII Youth Football Fair Tournament – 1st Memorial Juan Oncala. In this competition, organised by La Cañada Atlético, also take part, in addition to the local club, the Atlético de Madrid and the UD Almería. The red-and-white Juniors squad from Liga Nacional, coached by Jon Solaun, will play their first match today, Wednesday from 9.30 pm against the UCD La Cañada Atlético. Previously, at 7.30 pm, Atlético de Madrid and UD Almería will decide their passage to the final. On Thursday at the same time will be held the clash for third and fourth place and at 9:30 pm, the grand final.

Juniors A will participate in the 31st edition of the Villa de Portugalete Noble Tournament, which will be held from Thursday to Sunday, together with the Portugalete Junior Team, Real Racing Club, SD Eibar, Deportivo Alavés and FC Barcelona.

The team led by Imanol de la Sota will face the Portugalete Junior Team on Friday at 11.30 am and Racing Santander on Saturday at the same time. The final will take place on Sunday in Campo de la Florida at 11.30 am.

For his part, Ander Alaña’s Cadet A has travelled to Saint Petersburg to compete in the 14th edition of the Morozov Cup. The red-and-white players repeat their participation this year after reaching the final of the previous edition, in which they were beaten by Benfica. Athletic Club is included in Group A together with Zenit, Juventus and Olympiacos. Group B is made up of Benfica, CSKA Moscow, Austria Vienna and Red Bull Leipzig. The Red and White will meet Olympiacos at 5 pm on Thursday, Juventus at 12.30 on Friday and Zenit from 6 pm onwards. The final will be held on Sunday at 2.30 pm.
