Welcome to the Provincial Council of Biscay
After the visits of the Bilbao City Council and the Basque Government, today has been the turn of the Provincial Council of Biscay, the third great political institution that, as is tradition, has visited Ibaigane on the occasion of the receipts that the Athletic Club offers during the festivities of the capital.
The same image of unity and teamwork of the previous receipts has been repeated in the atrium of the palace, with the president of the Club, Aitor Elizegi, and the General Deputy, Unai Rementeria, closing a circle in which they were accompanied by the directors Jon Ander De las Fuentes, Fernando San José, Jorge Gómez, Itziar Villamandos, Goyo Arbizu and Tomás Ondarra, as well as, among other Biscayan deputies, Ibone Bengoetxea, Elena Unzueta, Teresa Laespada, Sergio Murillo, Jose María Iruarrizaga and Lorea Bilbao. The Club’s ambassadors, Iribar and Argoitia, have also been present.
Aitor Elizegi has thanked the presence of the Provincial Council, highlighting “the importance that all Biscay has for the Club and the desire to live up to that importance, maintaining the social commitments also marked by the Provincial Council, in terms of equality, creativity… Messages that you have expanded among the people of Bizkaia.”
In his speech, the General Deputy Unai Rementeria has recognized “to feel at home” and, deepening in the message of unity shared by the institutions and the Club, has added: “There is a complicity that we understand when we see you. I feel very comfortable with this Athletic”.
