The play “I am Pichichi” is back
The president and several directors of Athletic Club attended the premiere of the play starred by the former player Lander Otaola
The play directed by Patxo Tellería, “I am Pichichi”, repeats in Aste Nagusia after the success of last year and several members of the board of directors of the club wanted to support the protagonist, and former puppy, Lander Otaola, on the day of its premiere. The president, Aitor Elizegi, was accompanied by María Tato, Itziar Villamandos and Jorge Gómez.
In the show, the tragicomedy tells the story of Rafael Moreno Aranzadi “Pichichi”, player of Athletic Club (1911-1921), one of the great footballers of the Zurigorri history and one of the most mediatic characters of the beginning of the XX Century.
The work can be seen in Pavilion 6 (Ribera de Deusto 47) until Sunday 25 and next week, from Thursday 29 to Sunday 1 September, always at 9 pm.
The protagonist Lander Otaola was Athletic Club player in lower categories reaching to be runner-up in Spain with the Basque national team.
