After the defeat against Valencia, the goalkeeper only thinks of the clash aganst Vigo: “We have an outstanding debt and we will fight for the three points”
Unai Simón wanted to give a message of calm after the defeat last weekend against Valencia CF in San Mamés. “Whether we had a defeat or a victory, the dynamics of the League cannot change– the young goalkeeper stated. We are the same that played against Barça, the same that we were leaders a week ago … We have to get the positive things from the defeat against Valencia and some others things that we should improve and avoid next Sunday against Celta de Vigo”.
Regarding the match in Vigo, Simón has been clear and pointed out: “ We have a pending debt outside San Mamés. We want to win outside San Mamés and we will give our best shot to get the three points against Vigo.Celta is a dangerous team that knows how to play in the upper field. I think Vigo bad luck and we all know know that in this League and particularly at home, any opponent makes things difficult for you. If you give your 80% you don´t have much to do. We gotta give our 100% there and get the three points anyway. ”
On a personal level, the rojiblanco goalkeeper has been satisfied with his start of the season: “So far I have good feelings in the field. We are scoaring very few goals and that is always morally important for a goalkeeper.It’s been a good start and I hope we keep playing this way. My mission is always to try and leave the scoreboard to zero. The other day the breaks did not prove to be useful and get points, but it helped the team to be alive until the end. That is our job as goalkeepers.”
