José Rivero, former goalkeeper of Athletic Club, passed away
Born in Aranguren, he played for Athletic Club for five seasons between 1942 and 1947.
The former Athletic Club goalkeeper, Jose Rivero Gonzalez, passed away last night in Bilbao at the age of 95. Born in Aranguren, Rivero belonged to Athletic Club between the 1942/43 and 1946/47 seasons. After passing through our entity he also played in the EU Lleida, Balmaseda FC and Xerez CD.
The Athletic Club would like to pass on its deepest condolences and sympathy to all her family and colleagues in this sad and difficult moment.
The funeral will take place this Friday, October 11, at 7.00 pm in the Church of San Severino in Balmaseda.
